Finish the list faster
Most titles in these lists have a full audiobook edition. If your commute is the only reading time you get, a membership with a monthly credit is the cheapest way to keep a five book list moving.

How it works
The finder is free and open. Nothing is hidden behind a signup except the long personalized list.
STEP ONE
Type any title from the curated list. The one you could not stop thinking about after the last page.
STEP TWO
You get five read-alikes with a plain reason for each one, sorted so the closest match sits first.
STEP THREE
Answer six questions and we build the long list around your mood, pace, heat level, and tropes.

Two ways to read the list
A five title list is easy to build and expensive to finish. These are the two services we use ourselves to work through one. They solve different problems, so read the difference before you pick.
Best for audio
Built around credits. One credit takes a title, the title stays in your library, and it is still yours if you cancel later. The strongest catalog for new releases in romantasy, thriller, and fantasy.

Best for volume
Built around access instead of ownership. One subscription opens a large catalog of ebooks and audiobooks, which fits the reader who samples widely and abandons freely.

Our standards
Goodreads already has the algorithm and still loses to small blogs on these searches. The reason is simple. An algorithm recommends what sold next. A reader recommends what felt the same.
Each anchor title is matched to its read-alikes by a person who has read both. No purchase history, no co-view data, no automated similarity score.
If the only thing two books share is a genre label, that is not a match. Every recommendation carries a stated reason you can judge before you commit.
Results run from closest to furthest. The first pick is the safe one, the last is the interesting risk. Position is information, not decoration.
We earn commission on some memberships. Disclosure sits under every affiliate button, and no partner can buy a place on a recommendation list.
Questions
Five is enough to answer the question you came with. A longer list stops being a recommendation and starts being a catalog, and catalogs are what you were already stuck scrolling. The long personalized list exists for readers who want depth, and it is free.
The dataset is curated by hand, so it grows in batches rather than all at once. If your title is not there yet, the questionnaire is the better route. It works from how you read instead of from one specific book.
Not for the recommendations themselves. We earn a commission when someone starts an Audible or Everand membership through a link on this site, and that is disclosed directly under each button. Publishers cannot pay to appear on a list.
One email with the link to your full match list, then occasional new reading lists. No daily sends. Unsubscribe is in every email.
